Prof. Dr. Pravin Marotrao Ghate is a graduate in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, holding a post-graduate degree in Electronics Engineering. For his doctorate, he conducted research in the field of Speech Processing, specifically focusing on the design and development of Speech Synthesis Methods to enhance the quality of syllables in the Marathi language.

Currently, Prof. Dr. Pravin Ghate serves as a Professor at JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering in Tathwade, Pune, and holds the position of Professor in the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. With 17 technical papers published in both National and International Journals and Conferences, his research contributions have been widely cited in the technical community. Prof. Dr. Ghate actively mentors 2 doctoral students and 30 postgraduate students, and he is credited with establishing a Project laboratory in Electronics.

His significant contributions include work on two major projects sponsored by Matrix Automation and SPPU, resulting in the registration of 02 patents to his credit. Additionally, he has received research funds from DST and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, further emphasizing the recognition of his scholarly work. Beyond academia, he plays an active role in prestigious Education/Research organizations, serving as an External Examiner at Dr. Babasaheb Marathwada Ambedkar University in Aurangabad and contributing to R&D activities at Matrix Automation in Pune. He also serves as the Coordinator of NAAC and NBA documentation and is a member of the Institute Innovation Committee. Additionally, he holds membership in the Indian Society of Technical Education.

Empowering Minds with Design Thinking & Innovation
It was an enriching experience to conduct a session on Design Thinking and Innovation for the students and faculty at Shriram Pratishthan's Apurva Polytechnic, Selu, District Parbhani, on 29th March 2025.
